Accept the Responsibility of YOUR JOY!

Walking through life playing the role of the martyr is an indication that you may need to get into the sacred spaces hidden in your 2nd chakra.  The sacral chakra, located just below your navel, governs our sense of taste & appetite on a physical level as well as in an emotional, spiritual level.  

This center holds the archetypes of "the martyr" and the "empress/emperor".  The martyr accepts no responsibility for his/her own happiness and tends to be very unhappy.  Ho, hum - poor, poor me..  On the flip side, the empress/emperor enjoys fine things, lives abundantly and looks for pleasure and happiness in everything.  Finding that perfect balance between the two is accomplished as the sacral chakra is opened, healed & balanced.

1.  Do you find yourself sacrificing your happiness for someone else on a regular basis?   Do you have any expected outcomes from your sacrifice?  ie: approval, love, respect....

2.  Are you willing to take responsibility for these types of situations?  Can you accept your need for love & appreciation?  Can you claim your right to be happy & joyous?  You are entitled....

3.  Describe a recent scenario when you were "on top of the world".  What did that complete joy feel like in your body? 

4.  Do you feel worthy to receive more moments like this?  Are you comfortable receiving gifts, compliments and recognition? 

5.  Are you willing to accept the responsibility of creating a joyous, carefree life? 
Draw how these feelings look to you?  Colorful, flowing or neat & orderly....

The sacral chakra is about going with the flow and not resisting as life unfolds.  However, it does not mean that we can just float around and do nothing.  Creating a life full of abundance, health, peace & love requires making conscious choices and being receptive to all the Universe has to offer!
